Jeff Hoffman


Jeff is a graduate of New York University Law School and a former Assistant District Attorney of the New York County District Attorney’s office from 1967 through 1971. From that time until the present, he has been practicing criminal defense work. He has tried scores of federal and state criminal cases as a defense lawyer. Over the years, he has represented such politically sensitive cases of public note, such as Congressman Mario Biaggi from New York; Lester Shafran, former Commissioner of the Parking Violations Bureau of the City of New York; the Lyndon LaRouche (Presidential Candidate) Organization; Steve Hoffenberg, the former CEO of Towers Financial Corp., and dozens of attorneys and other professionals. He has also participated in the defense of numerous securities fraud prosecutions and arbitrations.

Jeff has appeared at the University of Missouri Law School as a Guest Lecturer and lectured on Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and CLE lectures. He has lectured judicial law clerks for the federal district courts of New Jersey on courtroom trial tactics as well as at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (“NACDL”) and various local Bar Associations in New York and New Jersey.
